This verse of the Bible is a divine warning from God to all the people letting them know that they must not come after his hand picked chosen ones, his prophets and children (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). They are divinely protected, because they come from God and hence his servants command respect.
Generally, chosen ones suffer from mass attack (Many against 1) because the light they carry, their divine anointing, the wisdom they preach, the truth they speak triggers jealousy, insecurities in people not spritually elevated as them.

How many came against Jesus? How many against a Sushant Singh Rajput? Both Jesus and SSR are highly respected even today after God allowed their death to save the sinners. Where is Bollywood today? Show me 1 film that works like before for all the actors, directors and producers who boycotted him, participated in his mockery and take down? None! Some area of their life has been impacted. That’s a curse, a direct hit from God.
How many boycotted a Vivek Oberoi overnight? You think you can take down a child of God? God silently elevated him on a different land and humbled them all who thought his career has ended. God says… No!
When you hit a chosen by mistreating them via 3 ways- JEALOUSY, SCAPEGOAT and PROJECTION, God hits back, because God says, I chose them for kingdom work. My children bother nobody, are doing their own. Karma is for everyone but Boomerang is for chosen ones.
You fire a chosen- God transfers/fires/takes you down.
You set up a chosen for legalities- God throws you in legal trouble.
You destroy a chosen’s finances- God destroys your financial foundation.
You do witchcraft on a chosen- God ruins your health.
You cheat a chosen- God brings in cheating partners to teach you devotion.
You slander a chosen- God publicly exposes something, to embarass you.
I have seen families suffering for decades with stagnation, no progression in careers, marriages, not because they are bearing generational curses, but more so also because they may have consistently mistreated a chosen child of god within their own family for years.
I’ve seen people catch fever, throat infections, when they hit a chosen one- they keep wondering why did I get this infection? Well, last week, you were hitting on my child unprovoked out of jealousy, that’s why. Those who refuse to stop- God ends their journey abruptly with accidents or terminal illnesses/early diagnosis as a warning sign.
That’s why the Bible gives a warning, “Touch not my anointed, do my prophets no harm”. God may operate through a chosen to deliver kingdom work. Chosen means what? God chose their body as a vessel to operate, a home to rest in. When you’re hitting a chosen, who really are you hitting? Be careful.
