Whatever be your situation, know this, nothing stays forever so fight like a winner already. I am not a doctor. This is not a diagnosis. I can’t give medical advice but let me empower you as a friend so that you can help yourself.
Do this 👇
1. Exercise daily, say go for an hour’s walk. Say hi, hello to others even if you don’t know them. In US we do it- everybody smiles and waves at each other (jaan na pehchaan, tu mera mehman). You smiling, waving at others and others smiling back ignites a stroke of happiness. Try it.
2. Please go to work everyday and do your daily chores. Work is not just our bread and butter, it’s our duty also. Never dump your responsibilities at home on others.
3. Music plays a very important role in healing. Atleast 1-2 hours daily if it makes you happy.
4. In depression we ruminate our anxiety, shoulda/coulda/woulda with people closest to us. It’s natural but repeating things will echo the issues on your mind so try to minimize rumination.
5. Sleep more than usual if it makes you feel fresh.
6. Do not skip your counselling, therapy, and medication at any cost. Follow the process.
7. Find your dopamine: My dopamine was Dr. Ravindra G. Gaikwad. Find people who lift your spirit, who bring the best out of you. Speak to them frequently and implement their suggestions.
8. Invest time in a passion project, try creating something using your skillset say a business or pursue your hobbies. The way I invested my time in Way of Life with Smita and my YouTube channel, you also must be good at something.
9. Avoid saying I am taking time for healing. No, it will happen automatically.
10. No going to the kingdom of the devil- no drinking, no smoking, no drugs, no illicit relations, no rebounds, nothing. Focus on self discovery, self growth, forward looking. Complete obedience to God.
11. Travel somewhere- travel widens your exposure towards life, allow new people and experiences to enter your life. No staying in a depressive closed environment.
12. Self motivation, practice self love: Keep saying this to yourself each day- I know I am going through something, but I am a very strong person and I will overcome very soon. Say this regularly, “Mi chaan aahe, everything is going to be absolutely fine!”.
13. Pray in spirit atleast 2-3 times a day. Express gratitude and seek forgiveness. Discuss your issues and fears vulnerably with God. Build a personal relationship with God and show faith even when things don’t change.
14. Join a spiritual group like Isha foundation, Swadhyay, start serving the lord in some way. Glorify God’s name and do something as a commitment from your side to grow kingdom work. Prayers, social work, helping, healing others, any work that brings people closer to God is also works of God.
15. Give God some time to change your situation. Keep pushing and have faith.
In divine timing, God will lift and align you on a higher path. You will know God did it for you😊.
