If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

I love this verse of the Bible absolutely, because this verse helps every chosen understand why they have to endure persecution from their own family, relatives and people from their own hometown/birth country. Only if you know, you can handle it.

Simply, because God chose you at your birth, not them for a higher purpose, to serve his kingdom….something higher. You were chosen hence persecution follows you- the devil is against works of God only hence against chosen ones.

Out of this world means? You have lived life as per standards set by God, and not the rest of the world focusing on material comforts, unethical behaviour, wordly pleasures. Out of this world also means you’re sent from heaven to deliver his work and that’s why anything you create appears to be unique, different from the rest of the world.

If you were of the world means, had you been conforming to the world’s sinful acts, material pleasures, selfishness, priorities, addictions, giving into devil traits of envy, hate, lies, lust and greed like the rest of the world- they would have loved you as their own.

If God chose you as a prophet- they hate you for the truth you speak, the wisdom you give, others don’t. They see their own flaws in the truth you speak, so they hate you.

If God chose you as an activist, a revolutionary, they hate your guts for the way you stand up all alone for what is right and refuse to bend to their atrocities, corruption, and cruelty. Many others give in.

If God chose you to use your unique skills to deliver his works, they hate you because you have the skills, the gifts, they don’t.

What happened when it was announced, a Messiah was born? It triggered not just leaders but many ran looking for Jesus so that they could kill him.

Chosen ones, people feel intimidated, threatened by your presence, light and anointing, which is why they overpower, belittle, bully, reject, scapegoat, END YOU. They project their sense of lack, their pain, their jealousy and their own negative traits upon you.

Who are these people?
Mark 6:4 says, Jesus said to them, “My prophets will be honoured everywhere except by their own family, relatives, and people from hometown/country”.

They hate you, reject you because of familiarity. “They” means people closest to you because you were born as one of them- God chose you, not them. Is he not born to Mary? Is he not the carpenter’s son? Oh’ he is just our brother, our cousin, he cannot be God sent, he is one of us.

I am not a Christian, I am a Hindu but knowing God is one and omnipresent, I love Jesus equally unconditionally as I love Lord Ram, Shiva, Allah and Nature. Father of the Universe is one.

Samajla? Nahi samajla? Marathit saangu? 😊 ✍
