Jesus said, “Thank you for bringing my son back to me/back home”.

It’s not that Father didn’t love Jesus when he allowed his crucification. Father loves everyone equally however just as he loved Jesus, he loved his other children also. Other children meaning children of the devil. Those children who left the kingdom of god, to commit sin under the influence of devil energy (envy, hate, lies, lust and greed). Meaning they have lost touch with God, they didn’t listen to and obey their conscience when they chose to sin.

Those children who don’t believe in God, God loves them also. In fact, God loves them more. The punishment for certain sins is death. When Jesus saw people sinning, he knew his time had come meaning someone had to take their punishment. That’s why he did not call his angels to protect him when all of them crucified him. He knew Father had a divine purpose in saving the sinners. Father gave his own son as ransom, a substitutionary atonement to save the sinners so that they can reconcile with God, get right with God in repentance.

His death is considered as a payment to God meaning he took the punishment on behalf of the sinners to satisfy divine justice for the sin. Sinners were saved through the power of faith in God and this enables them start life with a clean slate but now as transformed individuals who will not repeat their sin.

The intention of father here is clear: to bring his lost children back home to the kingdom of god in repentance but not as the same children who used to sin like before. No, now these children who have left the kingdom of devil and have returned home are now transformed into better human beings, through a spiritual awakening. Meaning God expects them to stop sinning now that he has saved them through Christ.

This concept helps us understand that we must seek redemption and deliverance from God through repentance because an innocent died for our sins. Father sacrificed his own son to save the sinners all at once from the punishment of death. He restores our faith in God. Always stay in touch with God through prayers and we must consciously seek forgiveness when we wrong others. God then acknowledges our repentance and delivers us through the power of faith. The way Father used Jesus, Jesus may use/sacrifice many of us (his disciples) to save the sinners.
