Lessons not taught in classrooms….

Mark 6:4- Jesus said to them, “A prophet is honoured everywhere except among his own family, his own relatives and his own country”.

If Jesus was not accepted in Nazerath, why will his prophets be? Why so? The answer is “Familiarity”. Oh, is he not our brother? The one born to Mary, how can he be the Son of God? People refused to acknowledge his anointing as they couldn’t accept that a local, who they knew intimately could be the Messiah.

People were stunned by the wisdom he preached, his spiritual gifts. His own family, relatives, the Pharisees, chief priests, religious leaders experienced jealousy due to Jesus’s growing popularity. They all saw him as a threat to their power and authority. Jesus’s disciples too fell prey to envy and ambition. They all felt overshawdowed in his presence. Mark 15:10- “It was out of envy that they handed Jesus over”.

If you’re a chosen one say by Lord Krishna, you will lead like Krishna, a leader nobody can defeat. But say if you are chosen by Jesus then you will feel like- last to be respected, last to be served, last to be counted on, projected upon all your life. However you will be highly respected after death at 33 especially outside of your home country.

1. You will be a punching bag for many:
Since childhood, especially in home country, your family, relatives, even colleagues will blame you for everything that goes wrong in their life where you are not at fault- Jesus was treated like a scapegoat.

2. You will feel like an outcast:
People from your home country- not all but those not spiritually elevated as you refuse to see value in you (undeserving). People in Nazerath failed to see Jesus’s anointing.

3. You will be projected upon:
The emotional pain of all sins that people experienced “when others wronged them”- rejection, abandonment, murder, rape, adultery, loss, injustice, theft, deception will be laid upon you just like Christ. People projected their pain, tiredness and insecurities upon Jesus and made him look as the problem.

4. You will be bullied/falsely accused/lied on/fired/laid off from jobs:
There will always be not one but many feeding lies to your bosses/management out of jealousy and insecurities to take you out. Not one but many lied blatantly on Jesus.

5. You will die atleast once at 33 years of age– either physical or a near to death experience. This is because Jesus was crucified at 33 out of envy. Murder presented as suicide.

6. Those who die at 33 will be respected after death as God humbles your enemies to look within. Those who survive at 33 do kingdom work– such people flourish once they leave home country.

The scriptures say,

Psalm 110:1The Lord says to my lord, “Sit at my right hand in heaven until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”.

Genesis 12:1The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people, your father’s household and go the land I will show you. I will make your name great, I will bless you and you will be a blessing to others”.
